AMPTHILL INDOOR BOWLS UPDATE
We played 5 mixed rinks on Saturday 26 October at Luton Bowls Club. The game was taken by Ladies captain Sylvia, we lost overall having won on 2 rinks.
On Thursday 31 October we played a mixed 4 rink triangular game against Bedford Priory and Bedford Borough at Bedford Borough. The score on Ampthills' rinks was a loss of 58-75 having beat Priory 2-0 and lost to the Borough 2-0. Bedford Borough won the match overall. Top rinks were David Gray, Martin Harris, Glen Beal and Colin Beal.
We returned to Bedford Borough on Sunday 17 November to play a 4 rink mixed game which we won 65-62, having won 2 rinks each. Top rink was Sylvia Stocking, Ray Outridge, Nick Warner-Smith and Colin Beal.

East Beds League - Ampthill B had a very exciting finish to their Div 4 game on 24 June against Biggleswade C.
With rink 5 completed rink 6 started the 18th end with the scores level at 36_36. We did gain the one shot needed thanks to our rookie lead Martin Smith. Well done Martin and the rest of the team a hard earned 2pts.
Ladies County Rinks—Diane Lee Trish Miller Linda Blore and Patsy Dobson won through to the semifinals of the County Rinks but fell at the last hurdle unfortunately.
Ladies County Triples -Glen Beal Jean Osborn and Pearl Tomkins are playing in the semifinals of the County Triples on Friday June 7th at Flitwick. Good luck to them.
Ampthill C TEAM Team had their first win of the season tonight (3/6/19), playing Flitwick at home, winning by 36-20 with Gary Jones Staring in his Debut.
Well done C team.

“Apart from some drizzle the rain held off for our friendly game against Shefford at home, on Saturday 18 May. The sun came out as the game finished, Ampthill bowlers warmed up too, and we won overall 78-56, although it was an honourable 2-all on rinks.
The sun also shone on our skips when all 4 won the raffle prizes. Fortunately that doesn't happen very often. (In fact we can’t remember it happening before! ) Let us hope lightning doesn’t strike twice - in the raffle anyway? “
