Fantastic News for Ampthill Bowls Club! We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that we’ve been awarded £1,647 by the Rookery South Community Trust Fund to help launch the Ampthill Bowls Club Youth Academy!

This brilliant funding means we can now invest in fun, engaging equipment to help introduce a new generation to the joys of bowls — so we can now officially get the ball (or should we say bowl) rolling! Welcome to Ampthill Bowls Club

Welcome to the Ampthill Bowls Club website. Here you should be able to find out everything you need to know about the club, and perhaps a little bit more! Bowls is a unique game that can be played by people of any age. It is a very sociable sport that can be both fun and challenging. It is also one of the few sports where a 70 year old can play a competitive game against a 10 year old, without the need for a handicapping system.

Our friendly club, with clubhouse, bar and outdoor patio areas, is set in attractive and tranquil surroundings, accessed through the acclaimed Kings Arms Path Gardens. There surely isn’t a more pleasant spot in Ampthill on a summer’s day or evening.

Whether you are interested in taking up the game of bowls, socially or competitively, or would just like to be a spectator, we look forward to seeing you soon!

EVENING SOCIAL EVENTS: Last Friday of the month - 7pm All are welcome to join in @ the clubhouse

SOCIAL BOWLS - every Thursday evening - informal matches - drop in and have a look and chat with members to find out more - all welcome.

We offer several ‘Taster Sessions’ throughout the season, where anybody can come and have-a-go at bowls. These are a great way to find out more about us and for you to see what fun the game can be.

Coaching

We are also proud to have two qualified coaches, Ivan & Martyn, who are members of the club and will provide coaching sessions to new and existing members free of charge. Coaching sessions are usually available Thursday Evenings alongside our Club roll up sessions.

A number of our bowlers have appeared in the Bowls England Finals, held each year at Leamington Spa and have also won various other competitions at County level.

Whether you are interested in taking up the game of bowls, socially or competitively, or would just like to be a spectator, we look forward to seeing you soon!
